The Clock
Time hovers
My tortured tongue suppresses
time, still the clock dictates
my death. Life hinders
Summer’s rain from washing
my foundation. Forever tainted,
my flesh displaces love
as agony spills from my corpse.
I gaze into the sky’s eye,
watching as time hovers,
predicting my fall.
